SAHS classes of the 60s – Welcome Letter

(27 June 2010)

Welcome to www.sahs-reunion.com. This is the place to stay connected. Please be sure to tell other alum you know about this site so we can stay connected to them. You can forward this email if you like.

A little information about the site to help you enjoy it. If you have any questions or issues, please email me directly at keith.hodges@comcast.net. The default Contact Us link goes to the site administrator, but I try to help her with any issues for 60s Brats because she is keeping track of about 910 other classmates.

For you Facebook users, we have a page just for us HERE.

1. Privacy is important. If you don’t want info (like your home address or phone number) shown to other members, edit your profile and delete the entry in those fields. Do not delete your email address or we won’t be able to contact you (which is a primary purpose of the site.) If you have detailed privacy questions, go to this site: http://www.classcreator.com/faqs.html#Privacy

2. Your email address is never shown, though others members can email you from the page. If you want someone to know your email address, include it in any message you might send.

3. Note on the left of the screen is a page called “Classes of the 60s.” Check it occasionally for info about our classes. If you want something posted there, just send it to me. Using that page will mean less class emails. (I do try to minimize class emails.) Note the top of the page indicates when it was last updated.

4. The In Memory page is up to date as far as we know. You can see fallen alum by looking at a class profile, or by the year they passed by going to the In Memory page. (Some that passed long ago were only recently added.) If you know of a fallen Brat that is not listed, let me know. Give me their SAHS name, class year, and if known, year of passing.

5. At the In Memory page, you can leave a memory for fallen alum; those with posted memories have a rose by their name. Please be careful by not sharing personal info such as manner of death (unless, lets say, while in combat).

6. There is no need to go to the old page, www.khodges.com/brats, as we moved all the data from there to here. Exception: there are some older reunion pics there though Joe Holcombe has a lot of those on his site. See the Classes of the 60s page for a link to Joe’s pictures.

7. As I hope you have noticed, this site is free and will remain so. You won’t have any spam or pop-ups here.

8. Here is what you can do to help the site administrator and me: keep your email address current, don’t use the email feature for anything other than contacting friends (no commercial use), and by all means, have fun and come to our reunion in 2011 (details to follow).
