The Wrapping Party OBJECTIVE: Women can often
get wrapped up in themselves: my gifts, my talents, my time, my family,
etc. When our focus is on “me” and
“mine”, we lose the perspective that Christ has provided everything for us,
including our gifts and talents. We
must come humbly to Him and sit at His feet to receive the full life He has
for us. At this retreat- through Bible
study and activities- women can affirm that humility is the attitude Christ desires from them and they can
humbly (re)commit themselves to Him. SCRIPTURAL EMPHASIS: (keep
this “under wraps” until explained in activities 1-3) I Samuel 16:7 “...God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward
appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” Psalm 51:17 “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite
heart.” Proverbs |
